Project Information

Aragon Resources Limited is a dedicated gold, uranium, nickel and phosphate explorer with a significant holding of exploration tenements in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

The Company was formed to acquire, explore and develop mining tenements. Many of the tenements are subject to a clawback option with AngloGold Ashanti Australia Limited ("AngloGold"). Aragon has also applied for additional tenure so to rationalise and improve the Companies strategic ground holding in the Yandal Belt of Western Australia and to expand its exploration portfolio to phosphate exploration in the Northern Territory.

The planned exploration will focus on gold and phosphate exploration at the Company’s key gold prospect at the Mission and Cables Gold Prospects just 7km north of the Darlot Gold Mine in Western Australia and the Ammaroo Phosphate Prospect in the southern Georgina Basin in the Northern Territory.

The Yandal Belt Project is the key gold focus and covers over 1352 sq km of the highly productive greenstone belt in the north-eastern goldfields of Western Australia. Aragon holds an extensive geological database including detailed target generation work acquired from AngloGold. Detailed evaluation of the previous work has led Aragon to identify six high priority gold targets and two uranium targets.

The Georgina Basin in the Northern Territory is highly prospective for large phosphate deposits such as that at Wonarah located approximately 200km north east of the 100% owned Ammaroo Phosphate Prospect. Ammaroo has proven phosphate occurrences identified by previous drilling.

These include:

The company plans to conduct exploratory drill programs over the extensive phosphatic marine sediments that occur within the tenement package.

At the Kambalda Project the Company has identified a number of grassroots gold and nickel targets which are less advanced than those at the Yandal Belt Project. The Company plans to conduct geophysical, geochemical sampling and drilling programs on these projects.
